DUTIES<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Clinical<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Deliver independent, high level Exercise Physiology services for client presentations utilising evidence-based practice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, funding guidelines, service standards and contractual obligations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Utilize high level communication and negotiation skills with patients and their families, other health professionals, external organizations, referrers, and students to facilitate cooperation, positive relationships and effective service delivery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead and participate in developing and implementing quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of Exercise Physiology services, and undertake clinical service development responsibilities as delegated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct clinical assessment and analysis, develop and deliver appropriate management plans in accordance with high quality, outcome focused models of care.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prescribe an evidence based management plan incorporating education and \/or exercise prescription as required for clients that are suitable to apply within a home or community based setting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote self-management and ensure health education is a significant component of each client contact.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regular continuing education in best practice Exercise Physiology for clients with chronic diseases and injuries, particularly the elderly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liaise with others involved with the management of shared clients including writing letters, reports, referrals to other professionals for opinion and management, case conferencing as appropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">General<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provision of high quality, evidence based services for all clients consistent with accepted professional and organizational policies and procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure that services are provided in a manner respectful of the languages, literacy levels, cultural beliefs and practices of our clients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accurately record data as required by agency and funding bodies, and ensure timely follow up on data quality reports as requested by the Team Leader.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support Aged and Disability program staff in facilitating multidisciplinary student placements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety standards within the organisation to ensure a safe work place.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adhere to the Organisational and Program policies and procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support and supervise the practice of Allied Health Assistant staff.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in project work in conjunction with other relevant health professionals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in relevant networks and forums and maintenance of links with key external agencies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Undertake professional development activities to maintain and enhance skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in the Individual Performance Review (IPR) process including the development of annual work plan, ensuring activities are carried out as outlined.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attend service unit meetings, staff meetings and other organisational meetings as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY&nbsp;
